You are invited to join us on our next exciting Safari to South Africa! I have just returned from South Africa and was once again SO impressed with the quality of food and wine. We have done yet another fantastic Gourmet Afrika Safari! South African cooking has a tradition dating back more than 400 years and is a unique mixture of Malay, African, Indian and European flavours and recipes. We usually start our Safari with a stay at one of the many Game Reserves where you can see the Big Five and experience the thrill of the African bush. Then we travel to the beautiful Cape Dutch town of Stellenbosch which represents the best of South African wines and cuisine. We base ourselves at Stellenbosch and explore, drink fantastic wines, enjoy gourmet food and do a lot of shopping!

Activities will include visits to various Historical Wine Farms, meals at traditional restaurants like "Die Volkskombuis", learning to cook traditional dishes like samoosas, dhaaltjes, bobotie, potjiekos, smoorsnoek and much more. We also travel to some of the most spectacular mountain passes like Sir Lowries Pass, Helshoogte and Franschhoek Pass. Visits to historical towns like Wellington, Paarl and Worcester, or spectacular Camps Bay and Hout Bay will be interspersed with some serious shopping at places like the Greenpoint Markets. Then, of course, there is Cape Town, the majestic Table Mountain and the fabulous Waterfront and all the splendid shops and restaurants, Cape Point and Simonstown.Table Top Mountain
Kagga KammaFrom Stellenbosch we go to the West Coast and the charming fishing village of Paternoster where we usually stay two days. Experience wonderful Westcoast hospitality and enjoy crayfish straight from the ocean, snoek and mussels freshly harvested! From Paternoster we travel to Kaggakamma, a unique reserve where we stay in caves! Spectacular scenery. Then down to Cape Town through vineyards and more spectacular scenery. Our last lap is Cape Town where we live in total luxury, have fantastic dinners and shop till we drop at The Waterfront. You can visit the many museums, or go to Robben Island, take in an African show or just relax before we reluctantly return to reality.

We go twice a year - May and September.
I promise you the most wonderful journey to one of the most beautiful places on earth!
Come and experience AFRICA with me!
