& 1000's of kilometres from hassles!
The house, built in 1916, was for many years the largest home on the range & is steeped in history. All work undertaken on it has added to the character and presentation of this once in a lifetime property! All ceilings are tongue & groove and 3.35 metres (11 feet) high. The walls are still the original tongue and groove with only the Lounge, Guest Bedroom, Office and Sunroom having been lined. In the course of restoration work the light switches have been converted to "Pull-Cords" and the power points to the older style "Brass Socket & Switch". A "Back to Base" alarm is fitted to the premises.
This viable farming operation has several avocado trees, a macadamia orchard, vegetable paddock (all utilising organic practices) & currently runs between 30 & 40 head of beef for fattening. It has a plentiful supply of water, by way of a 10 metre deep creek & spring fed dam, together with a spring fed well. A bore has been sunk and provides sweet potable water to an elevated tank which is piped underground to provide water for all cattle troughs and general garden/vegetable patch requirements. There is a 5,000 gallon rainwater tank that can be supplemented from the bore if required.
This is probably the best small farm in Maleny.
